About Mission & Outreach
While Bethlehem is a missional
church, we deliberately use Bethlehem’s human and financial resources for
serving the community and beyond. We schedule missionary presentations, we
organize and put on 3 or more mini "Shine and Share" events during mid-week or
Saturdays. We support Camp LuWiSoMo, Hope Center, K-9 Comfort Dogs, Family Promise, Lutheran High School Association, Hearts for Pastors, KM Food Pantry, Bethlehem Family Assistance, SWD LCMS, Zachariah's Acres.
LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official
women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. For 75 years, the LWML
has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and
equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries
and to support global missions.
SHINE & SHARE
Shine & Share events usually
occur on Saturdays or replace a Sunday worship service on the quarterly months
of the year that feature a 5th weekend. During these events,
Bethlehem friends and guests have the option to take part in local serving
projects and are encouraged to return to Bethlehem after to share their
experience to show faith in motion.
