Pastor Aaron Boerst

Born on August 25, 1987 in Green Bay, WI, Aaron was baptized into the Christian faith September 20, 1987 at Our Savior Lutheran Church-Pulaski, WI.

He attended The University of Wisconsin-Madison before transferring to Concordia University Wisconsin where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Seminary Studies/Theological Languages in 2009. Upon graduation from CUW, he began preparation for the Holy Ministry at Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. From 2011 to 2012, he completed his vicarage at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Warrensburg, Missouri before returning to Concordia Seminary when he received his Master of Divinity Degree and was ordained in 2013.

Prior to being installed as Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church here in Wales on February 15, 2020, Pastor Aaron faithfully served as Associate Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in New Berlin, WI and served as Sole Pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, WI.

Pastor Aaron and his wife Megan were joined in marriage here at Bethlehem on May 16, 2021. In his free time, Pastor Boerst enjoys keeping regular activity hiking and canoeing with his wife Megan and their dog Merci. When he is not busy gardening, Pastor Aaron also enjoys hunting and fishing.

Pastor Aaron says:

Jesus was born in a town called the “house of bread” (Bethlehem) and laid in a feeding trough (a manger) where livestock normally found their grain. Little surprise then that Jesus spoke of himself as “the bread who came down from heaven” (John 6:41) and a “grain of wheat falling into the earth.” (John 12: 24)

It is my prayer that the people of Bethlehem be fed and nourished by this “house of bread” here in Wales so that we all learn to SERVE, SHINE, AND SHARE the love of Christ and the life-giving bread of His Good News of Jesus Christ.

I am empowered by the words of Micah 5:2 which promises-

“But you, O Bethlehem, though you are small, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over the people of God...”

With this first promise of Jesus’ hometown birth, may you know that there’s always room here for you, and you’ll always find Jesus at this Bethlehem!
